SALARY INFORMATION: Depending on the field you choose, the salary range for a business degree is very wide. According to U.S. Census Bureau, in 2005 someone with a Bachelor's degree can earn an average of $52,671 annually, while those with a high school diploma earn an average of $26,933 annually.

GROWTH STATISTICS: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers in management, business, and financial employment are expected to increase 14.4% by 2014. The computer and information systems managers will grow the fastest through 2014. General and operations managers will add the most new jobs about - 308,000 by 2014. Among business and financial occupations accountants, auditors and management analysts will add 386,000 jobs combined. Employment, recruitment and placement specialists, and personal financial advisors will be the fastest-growing occupations in this group.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Education requirements vary by position. There are many different positions offered for a business degree. However, most non-entry-level positions require some training or postsecondary education. Many entry-level positions require only a high school diploma or GED, but college of some kind may be required for advancement.
